Ragas of Indu Chakra :

All the ragas of Indu chakra are Shuddha Madhyama (M1) ragas. ‘Indu’ means moon in Sanskrit. The first chakra is named as “Indu” to depict that there is only one moon to the entire universe. “Rishi Chakra” corresponding to that of Indu Chakra has Prati Madhyama ragas (The ragas of Rishi Chakra have Prati Madhyama in place of Shuddha Madhyama and all other swaras remains same).

Ragas of Netra chakra :

All the ragas of “Netra” chakra are Shuddha Madhyama (M1) ragas. “Netra” means eyes in Sanskrit. The second chakra is named as “Netra” to depict two eyes of living beings.
“Vasu Chakra” corresponding to that of Netra Chakra has Prati Madhyama ragas (The ragas of Vasu Chakra have Prati Madhyama in place of Shuddha Madhyama and all other swaras remains same).

Ragas of Agni Chakra :

All the ragas of Agni chakra are Shuddha Madhyama (M1) ragas. ‘Agni’ means fire in Sanskrit. The third chakra is named as “Agni” to depict that there are three different types of “Agni” (fire).
“Brahma Chakra” corresponding to that of Agni Chakra has Prati Madhyama ragas (The ragas of Brahma Chakra have Prati Madhyama in place of Shuddha Madhyama and all other swaras remains same).

Ragas of Veda Chakra

All the ragas of Veda chakra are Shuddha Madhyama (M1) ragas. ‘Veda’ means “Knowledge” or “Wisdom” in Sanskrit. The fourth chakra is named as “Veda”. There are four Vedas : the Rigveda, the Yajurveda, the Samaveda and the Atharva Veda.
“Disi” chakra corresponding to that of Veda Chakra has Prati Madhyama ragas (The ragas of Disi Chakra have Prati Madhyama in place of Shuddha Madhyama and all other swaras remains same).

Ragas of Bana Chakra

Bana chakra is the fifth of the Raga chakra. “Bana” means Arrow. Bana chakra represents the five Arrows of Manmatha. All the ragas of Bana chakra are Shuddha Madhyama (M1) ragas.
“Rudra” chakra corresponding to that of Bana Chakra has Prati Madhyama ragas (The ragas of Rudra Chakra have Prati Madhyama in place of Shuddha Madhyama and all other swaras remains same).

Ragas of Rutu chakra

Rutu chakra is the sixth of the Raga chakra. “Rutu” means season. Rutu chakra represents the six seasons - Vasantha, Greeshma, Varsha, Sharad, Hemantha and Shishira. All the ragas of Rutu chakra are Shuddha Madhyama (M1) ragas.
“Aditya” chakra corresponding to that of Rutu Chakra has Prati Madhyama ragas (The ragas of Aditya Chakra have Prati Madhyama in place of Shuddha Madhyama and all other swaras remains same).

Ragas of Rishi Chakra :

All the ragas of Indu chakra are Prati Madhyama (M2) ragas. ‘Rishi’ means Sage in Sanskrit. The seventh chakra is named as “Rishi” to represent the seven sages (Saptharshi). Agastya, Atri, Bharadwaja, Gautama, Jamadagni, Vasishta and Vishwamitra are seven rishis (Saptarshis).

Ragas of Vasu chakra :

All the ragas of “Vasu” chakra are Prati Madhyama (M2) ragas. . The eigth chakra is named as “Vasu” to represent “Ashta Vasus” (Vasu means “Brilliance” or wealth givers”)

Ragas of Brahma chakra

All the ragas of “Brahma” chakra are Prati Madhyama (M2) ragas. The ninth chakra is named as “Brahma” to represent “Nava Brahmas (Nine Prajapatis)” of Hindu mythology.

Ragas of Disi chakra

All the ragas of “Disi” chakra are Prati Madhyama (M2) ragas. The tenth chakra is named as “Desi” to represent “Ten directions” of Hindu mythology.

Ragas of Rudra chakra

All the ragas of “Rudra” chakra are Prati Madhyama (M2) ragas. The eleventh chakra is named as “Rudra Chakra” signifies the “eleven forms of Rudra (Lord Shiva) ” according to Hindu mythology.

Ragas of Aditya chakra

All the ragas of “Aditya” chakra are Prati Madhyama (M2) ragas. The twelfth chakra is named as “Aditya” signifies the “twelve forms of Aditya (Lord Soorya) ” according to Hindu mythology.
